Fusion! is an imaginary app set in the fictional world of Steven Universe, with me designing for the cartoon characters as my clients. The prompt was a challenge from our professor to think outside of the box for an unconventional app.

To design for something fitting of a cartoon universe, I had to strike a delicate balance between the heavily illustrative visual style and practical user functions. I approached the dilemma with influences from popular apps to introduce social and gamified components, so I can justify using more graphic elements to represent data and motivate engagement.
